Distribution and Sourcing

PLC World is a B2B supplier of industrial electronics. We source genuine products through a global network of authorised distributors, surplus stock, retired inventory, independent suppliers and international distribution channels, including parallel imports. PLC World is not an authorised distributor for any brand. Manufacturer warranties do not apply. All products are backed by PLC World's own warranty as set out below. All items are accurately described as new, refurbished or used on the applicable Quotation or Invoice. As products are sourced across multiple countries and supply chains, packaging or labelling may occasionally vary from standard OEM presentation.

Supply Chain Responsibility

PLC World does not accept responsibility for end users' supply chain requirements, traceability obligations or compatibility obligations. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that the Goods are suitable for their intended application, including any regulatory, procurement or end-client requirements.

Warranty

  • All factory sealed, new, open-box and refurbished items come with a 12-month repair or replacement warranty commencing on the confirmed Delivery date (unless otherwise specified on the Quotation or Invoice).
  • Valid proof of purchase is required. Warranty is void if the product was misused, altered, neglected, improperly installed, or if serial numbers are missing, mismatched or tampered with.
  • Defective products must be returned within 14 days of claim notification.
  • Repaired or replacement products are warranted for 6 months from shipment or the remainder of the original warranty, whichever is longer.

Delivery and Lead Times

  • All in-stock items are dispatched within 1 working day. Backorder lead times are specified in the Quotation.
  • All lead times and ETAs are indicative only and subject to change due to manufacturing conditions, component availability, international shipping and other factors beyond PLC World's control.
  • An extension to a quoted lead time or ETA does not entitle the Customer to cancel, vary or refuse the order.
  • Customers must inspect all deliveries and report any damage or shortages within 7 days.

Returns and Cancellations

  • Notify PLC World within 7 days of Delivery for any issue. Once approved, returns must be sent back within an additional 7 days.
  • A 35% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns and pre-delivery cancellations.
  • Items must be returned in original condition and packaging. Returns are at the Customer's expense.
  • Returns are not accepted for software, firmware licences or custom-built products.
  • PLC World covers shipping for replacement items using the Customer's original shipping method.

Payment

  • Payment by electronic/online banking or credit card. Visa, MasterCard and Amex attract a 2% surcharge.
  • Established accounts: payment terms as per individual Customer agreement. New customers: up-front payment required.
  • All payments in Australian Dollars.

Limitation of Liability

PLC World's liability is limited to the price paid for the Goods. PLC World is not liable for any indirect, consequential or incidental loss, including loss of profits, business interruption, or damage to property.
