Terms & Conditions

Important: PLC World is a B2B supplier of industrial electronics. We source genuine products through a global network of authorised distributors, surplus stock, retired inventory, independent suppliers and a wide network of international distribution channels, including parallel imports.

All products are 100% genuine and sourced from multiple countries and supply chains. In some cases, manufacturer packaging, labels or serial number markings may differ from standard OEM formats due to supply chain protection measures, but this does not affect the authenticity or quality of the product.

All items are accurately described as either new, refurbished or used, as indicated in the applicable quote/invoice. PLC World is not an authorised distributor and manufacturer warranties do not apply. However, all products are backed by our own 12-month replacement warranty.

PLC World does not accept responsibility for end users' supply chain requirements or compatibility obligations.

Shipping

PLC World will aim to initiate shipment and deliver products as close as possible to the customer’s requested delivery date(s). Standard shipment time is 5–10 working days. Delivery times may vary for out-of-stock products depending on manufacturer or supplier availability.

The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping returned products. PLC World is responsible for the cost of shipping replacement items and will match the customer’s original shipping method.

Upon receipt, the customer must check the conformity of the delivered products against the order and only thereafter proceed with signing the delivery documentation.

Returns

If no communication is received from the customer within 7 days of delivery regarding any issues with the item(s), the customer is deemed to have received the items in full working order and without defect.

If a customer wishes to return an item for any reason, this must be reported to PLC World within 7 days of delivery. The customer then has a further 7 days to return the item, complete with all original packaging and documentation, for assessment and inspection.

PLC World will only authorise the return of an item in the following cases:

Faulty When Received

PLC World offers a full 12-month return-to-base warranty on all reconditioned, service exchange, and new parts. If a fault occurs within 12 months of delivery, please contact our Customer Relationship Team who will assist you with next steps. Full warranty terms are outlined in the Warranty section below.

Damaged in Transit

If items are damaged in transit, this must be reported to PLC World within 7 days so we can arrange a replacement unit. If a replacement is unavailable, the purchase price will be refunded through the original payment method. Carriage costs will also be refunded where the damage was caused by our packing and/or carrier. Full damaged goods procedures are outlined in the Damaged Goods section below.

Incorrect Item Received

If items received do not match those ordered, the customer should contact PLC World within 7 days to arrange collection and return.

Change of Mind or Other Reasons

Should a customer wish to return an item for any reason other than those stated above, PLC World must be informed in writing within 7 days of receipt. The customer then has a further 7 days to return the item in its original condition and packaging, in a state that enables it to be immediately fit for resale. Returns of this nature are subject to a 35% restocking fee.

Order Cancellation (Pre-Delivery)

If a customer decides to cancel an order after payment has been made but before goods are delivered, a 35% administrative/restocking fee will apply.

General Return Conditions

The following conditions apply to all returns:

  • PLC World reserves the right to refuse any return where the product is not received in the same condition as originally delivered.
  • All products must be returned complete, including manufacturer’s boxes, factory seals, packing materials, manuals, cables, and any other accessories provided in the original shipment.
  • The customer must ensure products are properly protected with bubble wrap or packing foam. Products must not be shipped without adequate packaging.
  • PLC World is not liable for loss or damage during the transportation of returned products.
  • This returns policy excludes software and specially manufactured or custom-built products.

Limitations of Liability

PLC World does not financially protect, warrant, or provide coverage for any loss or damage associated with the purchase or use of any product or service from PLC World.

For the purposes of this section, loss or damage is defined as any damage or destruction caused to the property of, or otherwise suffered by, the customer — including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits or loss of use resulting from such damage or destruction
  • Damage to property
  • Any other loss, direct or indirect, charge, cost, expense, liability, or increased liability howsoever arising, suffered or incurred by the customer

Damaged Goods on Delivery

If a package containing products purchased from PLC World arrives in a damaged condition, the customer should refuse delivery from the courier.

If the customer accepts delivery of the parcel, the customer must:

  1. Make note of the damage on the courier’s delivery paperwork so that PLC World may file a complaint.
  2. Keep all products, original boxes, and packing materials as received.
  3. Promptly notify PLC World by contacting customer service via email at sales@plcworld.com.au to arrange an inspection and the removal of damaged products.

Important: If the customer does not note the damage, retain the products and original packaging, and notify PLC World within 7 days of delivery acceptance, the products will be deemed to have been accepted in their delivered condition.

Warranty

All “Factory Sealed”, “New/Open Box”, and “Refurbished” products sold by PLC World come with a 12-month replacement warranty. All warranties, whether expressed or implied, are provided by PLC World directly and not through any brand manufacturer or distributor.

PLC World is not an authorised distributor of the products it sells. Manufacturer warranties do not apply. PLC World warrants to customers that all hardware products sold will conform to applicable manufacturer’s specifications for the duration of the warranty period.

Warranty Period

The warranty period commences on the date the purchased product is confirmed delivered by the carrier, or three (3) business days after the original order date if no delivery confirmation is recorded or made available. The warranty period is defined as 365 calendar days from the applicable start date.

Making a Warranty Claim

Warranty claims cannot be made without valid proof of purchase, which may be a copy of the original order receipt provided via email or a paper copy shipped with the original delivery.

The customer must notify PLC World of any defective product within the warranty period and return the defective product within 14 days of notification. All warranties offered by PLC World are subject to acceptance of and compliance with these Terms & Conditions.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty will be void if, upon examination of the product, PLC World determines that the defect occurred as a result of:

  • Misuse, neglect, alteration, improper installation, accident, unauthorised repair, or improper testing
  • Serial numbers or date codes that mismatch the originally sold product, or that have been removed or defaced
